Unhappy

taxpayer

I'm calling about Speak Out on Friday, Oct. 18th -- "Don't you dare cut WIC!" The only response I have is it takes a lot of nerve for someone who steals from my paycheck each week to supplement farmers to pay for somebody else's groceries instead of my own. Thank you.

Need choices

Well, it's working, America. Michelle Obama's push to get people off of eating fast foods is working. By that I mean the introduction of these near-tasteless, inedible, hard-to-chew pretzel rolls on just about every fast food marketer that we have in America. You heard me right. Give us back our choice and get rid of those tasteless pretzel rolls. I don't know what's going on with fast foods but there are people out there like their burgers just as they were. Even hot dogs have been shoved in between that tasteless, worthless piece of goo they call a pretzel roll. So c'mon, marketers, give America back their choice and let them eat what they want to instead of having their choice taken away for a slick marketing scheme. Yeah, I know people are fighting carbs everywhere, but goodness gracious, pretzel rolls--yuck!

Speedway is good, clean fun

To the person or persons complaining about the Poplar Bluff Speedway. This is a good thing for the community. Would you rather they would be out drinking, doing drugs or stealing instead of watching the races? Good clean fun for young and old. Close your windows and doors, turn the radio or TV on if you don't like the car noise. Surely you can take it a few nights of people having fun.

Offers vet a job

I'm calling about the young man that stands by the BP there on 67 South at the exit holding a sign that says he's an American veteran and that he needs a job or anything will help, so I gave him money and I gave him my phone number as I offered him a job and he took the money and he still standing holding the sign and he has not taken the job. I want to let the public know he is using this as a way of making a living and he's not planning on getting a job. Thank you.
