Please return

death notices

Will this paper please put the death notices and regional gas prices back on the front page?

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Done.)

Give God a

phone break

I wonder why some people even bother to go to church. They come to church with their little iPhone-whatever-it-is they bring, all through Sunday school and all through services, they're on their little phone checking their e-mails or on the internet, or whatever it is they're doing. It's not only disrespectful to the members of the congregation and to the pastor, it's very disrespectful to God. If you're going to come to church, can't you at least give God two hours out of your week? And, again, why bother if you're going to be disruptive to the whole service? Nobody wants to watch you play games or pull down your messages. Come on, people! We're on our phones all week. Let's give God two hours a week. What do you say?

Cutting

back on cable

I recently had to cut back my cable to the basic package. The cable company was charging me so much to watch the same programs that I have been watching for the past five years, including the commercials, that I decided I'm not going to pay it anymore, so now I only get 21 or 22 channels. I think the cable company should probably pay us to watch that stuff. This is ridiculous. What do you think?

Don't tell us

what to do

I don't think the city has the right to tell small businesses what to do. They pay their own taxes and pay their own bills. And, if the city wants to not let people smoke in their parks, that's their right. Thank you.
