Blunt's a closet

Democrat

Sounds like Roy Blunt might be a closet Democrat. Pass it on.

Parking issue

at O'Neal

I hav waited all year long. I've even called the police a few times about the parking at O'Neal -- the handicapped parking has always got people who are not handicapped parked in it. It's a horrible problem. I never can park there because of it. It's very annoying. I wish they'd address it. Maybe if it's on Speak Out, it will get taken care of.

Don't like

brick streets

Don't like brick streets. They are rough, noisy and rattled your body, not to mention, tearing up your car.

Enjoy

Krauthammer

I enjoy reading the editorials of Charles Krauthammer frequently published in this newpaper. He often questions the motives of Obama, especially his language, or lack thereof, in regards to foreign terrorism. If addressing Mr. Krauthammer I would suggest he read "The Roots of Obama's Rage" by Dinesh D'Souza. There he will find the answers to many of his questions regarding Mr. Obama. And, if the American voter had taken the time to read and educate themselves before going to the polls last November, maybe Mr. Krauthammer would have something more encouraging to write about.

It's a total

disgrace

I'm calling about the person that said, keep your opinion to yourself about the steps at the depot. No, it might not be my money in a way, but it is taxes or money that the city has for historical restoration and I don't think they ought to waste the time on 'em whether I use 'em or not. Nobody in my family uses 'em, but it doesn't make a bit of difference. I think they should still have a shelter for women and children and families instead of just putting men up in the Rescue Mission and women and children in the abuse house. That is NOT fair! There are women and children out here that need a place to live and are shacking up with their friends and I think it's a disgrace that the city can't come up with a homeless shelter for women and children or all together families. I know families that are living with others. No houses. No apartments. They can't afford them because they are out of jobs because the places closing down like Nordyne and different places. This is totally a disgrace in Poplar Bluff--worrying about some depot steps rather than some humans. Thank you very much. I will keep my opinions to myself when it is just my opinion. 80 percent of Poplar Bluff's opinion is the same way as mine.
