Lions auction one of best ever

To the Editor:

Our recent 20th Annual TV Auction was a resounding success! This was our most successful auction ever thanks to the efforts of literally hundreds of people. Once again, the merchants, people of our town generously donated money and items for the auction. A record number of people participated and bid on items during the daylong auction at (Three Rivers College).

A special thanks to our corporate sponsors who gave so generously: Southern Bank, Sunrise Home Care, Hefner Furniture & Appliance, Wal-Mart, Baldwin Automotive Group, Sterling Bank and Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A special thanks to your paper, the DAR, TRC, for the auction day facility, and City Cable (Gary, Dave and the boys). Once again, the people of Poplar Bluff showed that they care about programs for sight and hearing and for those less fortunate. We Lions give a heart felt thanks to all who helped.
