Well paid

for little work

If Congress were paid for what they do and the hours they spend in Washington, D.C., they would all be poor just like you and me. Very poor senior citizens just waiting to get the axe.

Robbing from

the dead

This is a message for those individuals that stole the flowers from my family's graves at the city cemetery. I feel a bit sorry for you 'cause obviously you are going to go to hell for robbing from the dead, but just remember this: if I catch you stealing my flowers off my family's graves you may get there a little quicker because it upset me deeply and I'm sure the others that were stolen will feel the same way. Thank you Speak Out for providing me the opportunity to express my feelings on this matter.

A plea to

Rep. Emerson

In 1994, did President Bill Clinton signed a bill to ban assault weapons? Ten years later in 2004, then President George Bush let it expire. Bush the president that started two wars that wasn't paid for. Clinton a president who signed a fair trade agreement. Wow! What a waste. And, chased the blue dress around the White House. Jo Ann Emerson do the right thing. Don't let four counties bear $951,654 expense for the election. I wondered if you had thoughts before the election on Nov. 6 about taking this job. Jo, thanks for the help you have given the veterans at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo. You will be missed by the veterans.

Take a lesson

from Kinyon

I read in the DAR about the downtown lights, so I went down to see them. I was somewhat disappointed in that so few businesses participated. Downtown Poplar Bluff could be a real attraction if only there would be more involvement. Some of the more going establishments didn't do anything and then I saw the skateboarders because the one-half million skate board park had no lights. You would think that the Park Dept. would at least put up some lighting so it would be usable at night and maybe some Christmas lighting. I did see a couple of windows at the railroad depot with lights--could have been more. Well as I left downtown I went up Vine to the Highway and OMG I saw this old school building all lit up. Whoever did that needs to be commended. Everyone seems to want downtown Poplar Bluff to progress. I don't know what it will take but maybe they might take lessons from the kid who did the Kinyon School.

It's a paid

vacation

While Mr. Ed. You know that gentleman on MSNBC. Yeah, you know, that braying jackass for the Democratic Party and official mouthpiece for Obama railed against the Republicans for letting unemployment dry up just after Christmas. 2.1 million people going to lose their unemployment after riding the taxpayer for 99 weeks of unemployment. Gee, I only wish I could get a paid vacation for a little over a year and a half and then sit back and complain about it when I actually have to go out and try to get back to work. America, it's time to wise up. I'm tired of the bickering and I'm also tired of seeing my tax money go for programs that stuff the pockets of absolutely lazy worthless union people across this nation. I'm tired of the rhetoric of MSNBC especially, but I'm tired of these leeches sucking the vital funds out of America. It's time everyone looks at the idea. Look at one hand, it's empty. Look at the other, it's empty. Now, what do you do to fill them. Go out and work any job that will put food on the table and roof over your head or sit back and pray that our broke government is going to bail you out again. Wake up, America. The clock is ticking and remember, it's your choice. Don't be led around by nose by a bunch of jackasses.
