Mexico has

a place for you

In response to the union basher in your column. If you're so disgruntled about workers making a higher standard of living and want to boycott Made in America, sounds like you're either a Communist or just a narrow minded idiot. Don't like the U. S. A. pardner Mexico got a place for you.

Don't need

Republicans

Why wouldn't anyone want a good retirement? I retired in 1987 from the Teamsters. I have heard so many say you buy your job when you pay union dues. I paid $28 per month dues for free insurance for anyone in the family under 24 and in school. I don't need any Republicans trying to privatize my Social Security. Did Hostess want the bakers' union to take a 32 percent cut in pay and benefits? It would blow your mind if you seen some of the discounts some of the companies give out, but not to all customers. Merry Christmas to all.

When people

refuse truth

Hello, Speak Out. I was just wondering if the person who thinks the Benghazi terrorist attack is just some winky-dink stuff in no-land somewhere. Would that person feel the same way had it been their family who was murdered? Also and the people who cannot recognize truth always want to fire Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and Alan West. It is always these people are dictators and tyranny to seize control when people refuse truth. Thank you.

Educate on

traffic laws

Let's ask the appropriate law enforcement officers to submit educational articles to the DAR on traffic laws for the citizens of Poplar Bluff. Many local drivers think the turn lanes on the highways are there to merge with traffic rather than to exit. Some drivers need a refresher on right lane turns when there is a designated right lane traffic light.

Preemptive locality laws regarding distracted driving bands such as cell phones use, texting and ages these apply to would be helpful. Thank you.

Anybody see

a pattern yet?

Does anybody noticing a pattern yet? And by this I mean, simply, all of these strikers at Wal-Mart and their informational protests asking for outrageous wages. Now, mind you, minimum wage is just a little over $7 an hour currently. And yet they are asking for wages starting at $13 an hour for the minimum. And now protests are being aimed at another large national corporation--McDonald's. Is anybody starting to see a pattern with unions pushing to try and organize these companies. We'll all be paying dearly, very dearly, if these unions get a foot hold. True, unions across America are dying, but now that they see someone who supports them so blatantly sitting in the White House, I just think enough is enough. So next time you see one these protests go into your local Wal-Mart, spend a little money on a dozen eggs and come outside and have fun throwing 'em at the protesters. I'm getting tired of unions throttling our schools, businesses and industry all across this nation. And when you shop--don't look for the union label.

Cut pay of

lawmakers

Yeah, this Fiscal Cliff that we're going through here right now. They're wantin' to cut Medicare and Medicaid. They don't want to . . . the Republicans don't want to raise taxes on the wealthy, but they are wantin' to cut the benefits for the poor on Medicaid and Medicare and stuff like that. Well, why don't we, if we're gonna cut stuff like that out why don't we just roll back the Senators' and the Congressmen's and the President and all those their raises that they give theirselves the past 15 or 20 years. Roll them back to what they was say 20 years ago. And, let's cut all them perks and stuff that they get. Let's cut out all the retirement, half of the retirement and half of the insurance that the Senators and Congressmen all enjoy so well and all the free medical they get and everything. Let's just roll all that back and stop a lot of partying in the White House and let's stop a lot of government perks not just cut it out for the poor and the wealthy, too, but let's cut a bunch of politicians' perks out. They vote themselves in a raise from the city all the way to the federal government every time we turn around. Let's roll them back 20 years, too. Put all that on the board. If you're gonna cut Medicaid and Medicare, food stamps and raise the taxes on the very rich, Hey, politicians! give us a break. Cut your wages and perks, too. Cut all them perks out where you get to travel on junkets and stuff like that and take 60-70 of you on it. U. S. Marshals get to go out and rent prostitutes and everything else. Let's cut out all this stuff all these expenses these free expenses for government workers and everything else. Let's roll it all back say 20 years. If we're gonna cut Medicaid and Medicare, let's just cut everything back. Twenty percent across the board on all government employees and then raise the wealthy and cut Medicare and Medicaid, too. But you all get raises when the Social Security recipients don't get a raise. Social Security hasn't got a raise for two or three years now and now we finally only get a little bitty raise last year and when you get a raise--say you get $15 a month raise, they cut your food stamps $20 every time. So, you don't really get nothing for a person. But the Republicans are wantin' to cut the Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare and stuff like that, but they don't want to raise taxes on the rich and now a few Democrats are even wantin' to cut Social Security and Medicaid/Medicare and stuff like that. So, I think if we're gonna do it cut it on the government people, too
