Bring the

troops home

I agree with Patrick Buchanan in the Sunday paper. The cost of our two wars has been so many dead and wounded and debt piled so high and what do we have to show for it? We need to stop trying to teach them over there how to run their country when they have no respect for us anyway. I say come home troops.

I got shot and

it's not funny!

Yes, I'd like people to know that I got shot behind my ear by a pellet gun and it was my neighbors who had done it and I call the cops out here and they thought that it was extremely funny that I got shot and they're not doing anything about it because they can't prove it even though I have seen my neighbor with a pellet gun. And, I just don't feel like the police is doing their job.

Child support

rule isn't fair

I would just like to say that I think the law should be changed. I don't think that just because you're on SSI disability that you should be excluded from paying child support. That is not fair to men who are not on SSI and they do have to pay child support. So I think the law should be changed.

Paybacks in

ol' Chi town

I wonder if the teacher and the students of a TV sit-com, "Welcome Back, Kotter," are marching with the Chicago educational bellyachers as they try to improve education in Chicago? I'll bet that wise-cracking bunch of teenagers may have been funny, but does it not seem to you that today in old Chi is payday of some sort? Isn't it somewhat harder to do the improvements that need to be done? Isn't it harder to defend your country now? But, oh, the money and the high life of a TV sit-com.

Matlock is

needed in PB

This is to the lawyers here in Poplar Bluff. It's a shame you cannot get a good lawyer in your own town. You have to go out town in order to get the lawyer. You can't get a lawyer here in your own town. We need here in Poplar Bluff. We need Matlock. That's who we need. Matlock. The lawyers here, they don't give justice. They won't take your case. They hear your case, but they can't do it because too many lawyers know lawyers and doctors know doctors. That's how it is in Poplar Bluff. You gotta go out of town in order to get a lawyer and that is so sad . . . that is so sad. Please print this. Thank you.

DAR ain't

worth 50 cents

Yeah, I just wanted to say that I don't think the DAR paper is worth the paper it's printed on. Sure ain't worth 50 cents for all the griping and complaining and crap they do. Well, you probably won't print this, but anyway I had my say.

Sick of the

Sliger thing

I'm calling about this Rick Sliger thing. I'm sick of reading about that in the paper. Like the person that called in, don't blame Rick Sliger blame the county. They're the ones. If they were doing their job he'd have been doin' his. And, that's what I gotta say. Thank you.

Take care of

our own first

Question to Poplar Bluff: you are building a multi-million dollar hospital, new mall and we have homeless children right here in Poplar Bluff. What good is a mall gonna do children that ain't got food, ain't got a home to live in? Stop worrying about Sliger, stop worrying about the elections. Take care of your own. Thank you.
