Clear park of

illegal activities

At the Hendrickson Park by the five to 12 year old's swing sets, there's a little wooded area and you see a lot of older gentlemen going back there with younger men. And, I know people are going back there to smoke dope. I wish the city would either cut all the trees down or clear it out to where they couldn't be back there doing the bad things that I'm pretty sure that they are doing. It's very scary to see children go back there because you always wonder maybe if some child will go back there and we'll never see them again. I think it would be better to prevent this than to wait to form a search party to look for some missing child that's been picked up by a pervert. There are woods to walk through and that won't bother the natural beauty of the park, but it's just very frightening and disturbing as a parent to see people let their children go back in those perverted woods. Thank you.

Hold congress responsible

I know very seldom that Speak Out ever puts anything in their articles that's political, but right now the Democratic Party is running an ad just hammering Romney about the fact that he paid only 14 percent of his income in taxes. But let's remember, the voting public, who wrote the tax code and that's our good, squeaky-clean, little oxymorons--you know--our Congressmen and Senators. They are the people who wrote the code with all of the wonderful little loopholes and perks and benefits built right in. So, you see if you don't use the code to your benefit as everyone at any tax service tells you to do, you don't get any of the benefits. How do you think those in Congress become millionaires after they go to Congress? Have you ever asked yourselves that, America? So, you need to take this ad with a really large spoonful of salt. I know. It's politics as usual, but think of that, America. It's Congress that wrote the tax code. Mr. Romney only took full benefit of what was available to him as a business man. You can't blame him if he only used what was put out there by Congress for him to use, now can you?

Now, think again. Maybe we need to change all of the Congress and the Senate and maybe we'll get something different. You know, let's start over and maybe we'll stop this runaway train wreck.

Why has the DAR discontinued putting any coupons inserts in the paper?

Fix the 5th,6th grade road soon

It's amazing how the so-called "smart" people are not so smart. Why build a hospital, a school, etc., at a place that will be a high traffic area before you build a road to get there? I hope this new 5th and 6th Grade school route will be fixed soon. You have to go out of your way to get to the school, and getting into and out of the school drop-off was fine, however, getting back on to PP was horrendous. When you have to cross traffic going left, traffic was backed up terribly. I guess the "powers that be" didn't think of that. Should have put a temporary traffic light there. Why wait until an accident? I hope the road to the 5th and 6th Grade is fixed soon. In the meantime, something should be done for those of us who need to turn left to get back in town at the PP exit. Thank you.
