Letter to the Editor

To save the nation spending must stop

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

To the Editor:

Yes, the annual budget deficits of over $1 trillion continue (4th straight year of trillion dollar deficits, $1.2 T deficit seen for 2012, Daily American Republic, July 29, 2012, page 5A, by Andrew Taylor).

The article failed to mention that this increases the public debt to about $17 trillion.

If our nation, as we know it, is to be saved, this must stop. The place to start is for Congress next year to refuse, for the first time in our history, to approve any increase in U. S. public spending authority.
