Sweat bullets

over city cable

I know you probably won't print this, Speak Out, but being one citizen who is, how shall I say, paying for the expansion of the cable service here in Poplar Bluff. The new process of going to an all-digital format in our community is more like an act of basically boosting the bottom line at the city cable service because from the explanation they are giving on Channel 2 if those on expanded basic cable don't come in and pay for the digital service to receive Channels 23-79, even though they may have a digital ready television, they will NOT receive the all-digital service from the television which they are receiving right now, which to me is making those citizens which are receiving those very channels right now pay extra for the television that they are receiving at this very moment. If they are going to do that, the city cable might as well provide them with the Cinemax and all of the other associated cables that are also part of that boosted price range associated with that all-digital service, don't you think, city cable? Just a thought, huh? You better change the wording on your wonderful explanation or clarify the point that those on expanded city service with a digital television will continue to receive their service accordingly. And, please, do this very soon, Speak Out. People out here are sweating bullets.
