The Beardsley family has been in the farm equipment business more than three decades. Their business Poplar Bluff Farm Equipment is located at 208 Ridge Hollow Lane, Poplar Bluff, Mo., which is at the junction of Business 60 East at NN.

Staff includes Bill Beardsley, owner/manager/sales, father; Esther Beardsley, owner/manager/bookkeeper, mother; David Beardsley, manager, sales, parts, son; Dawn Gatewood, secretary, sales, parts, daughter, Robert Shepherd, Tom Fisher and Dan Norden, service technicians; and Steve Taylor, parts manager.

The Beardsley family opened their farm equipment business more than 30 years ago in Doniphan, Mo. in 1979 and moved to Poplar Bluff in 1984. They have seen a lot of changes in farming. They were originally a Ford dealer, but Ford bought out New Holland in the 90s and later was bought by Fiat.

"We still sell Ford parts, but have expanded to a lot of other equipment lines," they said. "We sell and service New Holland products, Arctic Cat ATVs, STIHL products, Gooseneck Trailers and Big Tex Trailers, Bad Boy Mowers and MTV's. Last year a new line of Mahindra Tractors was added to their product line.

"We are a small family business that is dedicated to service," they said. "We take the time to visit with our customers and try to find the right equipment and offer the most product for their money."

The Beardsleys welcome new customers to come and see for themselves the quality products offered and the service they provide after the sale.

Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Their telephone number is 573-686-2448.
