Johnny's Restaurant offers old-fashioned home cooking

If you like dining in a really friendly atmosphere where down-home friendly folks serve good old-fashioned home cooking, then Johnny's Restaurant, 4803 West Ave., Poplar Bluff, Mo. is the place for you. This is a family-owned business where Johnny does a lot of the cooking and whatever else needs to be done. Dusty, Johnny's son, helps out sometimes by waiting tables and Granny, Johnny's Mom, doles out recipes as well as advice.

Johnny's Restaurant has been a hot spot for dining in Poplar Bluff since they opened their doors in 2010. Their buffet includes mouth-watering choices such as ribs, fried catfish fillets, fried potatoes, homemade gravy, a salad bar, homemade pies and many other items. For those who prefer it, they can order from a full menu.

If you haven't eaten at Johnny's, give your taste buds a treat the next time you go out for dinner. Johnny's is open 7 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday.
