Justice:

'Thanks' for

caucus'

success

To the Editor:

I would like to thank Butler County Republicans for turning out and being a part of the Butler County Republican Caucus on March 17, 2012. Over 200 of our registered voters made the necessary sacrifice on a beautiful Saturday to come and attempt to make a difference in the course of government in America.

There is a whole host of people that volunteered their time and efforts to contribute to the success of the Caucus and I would like to mention some of them by name. First, thanks goes to Three Rivers College and Dr. Devin Stevenson for hosting the event. The Tinnin Center was a perfect facility for the event and every need we had was graciously attended to. Whether it was safety or facilities work, everyone connected with the college was extremely helpful.

Thanks to our Credentialing Committee Tonyi Deffendall, Cindy Bowman, and Danielle Berry. Also thanks to Danielle Berry for serving as Caucus Secretary. Jeff Shawan, Sharron Payne and Matt Funke served as the rules committee which may be one of the hardest jobs of the weeks leading up to the event. A big thank you also goes to Mark Richardson who served as the Parliamentarian, and who did a stellar job. Also thanks to Cindy Fuller, Richard Montgomery, Joe Leahy, Aaron Decker, Penny Justice, Rep. Todd Richardson, Jim Hoyt and Cole Allen for all being part of the procedures. Thank you also goes to all 34 of our delegates and alternates that have volunteered a significant amount of time and money over the next three months to this endeavor.

I am proud to serve Butler County and it is people and organizations like these that make Butler County such a fantastic place to live and work.

Respectfully,

Eddy Justice
