Kids' will benefit

I'm calling Speak Out about the article in here, "Who Will Benefit from the Twin Rivers Building a New Middle School? The kids now will benefit, and also the kids in the future will benefit to try to pull all the kids a little closer together. And, it will be no different than it is right now because the high school kids and the middle school kids will not be in the same building. The fifth through the eighth grade are in the same building now at both campuses--Fisk and Qulin. It only makes common sense to go ahead and build the building when it's not gonna cost the taxpayers any extra taxes and will upgrade the school to higher level. Also it made common sense to tear the old building down because the old high school because it was not structurally sound for kids to be in and it was not smart to fix the old school. It needed to be tore down. I just hope people looks at this in a positive way when they go to vote when this comes up on a ballot 'cause the school does need this and it's not going to disrupt the classes at all. Thank you.

Unhappy caller

What good is Speak Out when you call something in two and three times and it never gets in the paper? There's plenty of space. Plenty of time.

Stop Robo-calls

I'm so sick of these Robo-calls that they so-call call 'em. The Republican Party calling four and five times a day -- here it is eight o'clock at night -- wantin' you to sign some kind of petition for Rick Santorum and everything else. I'm just absolutely sick of it. And, I'm on a No-call list for Missouri and the federal one and they still call and some company called "Cardservices" calls four or five times a day wanting to lower your credit card rating and I tell 'em I don't have no credit cards. I don't need no special rate or nothin', but they hang up and 15 minutes later they'll call again. What can we do about this? We've got to do something. We gotta have a little peace and quiet. They say the No-Call list works. It don't work. Somebody's gonna have to do something. Cardservices call all day long. Republican Party, they got the Robo-calls calling 24/7. Just vote, vote, vote, vote, vote. Well, I'll tell you what. Us, little people like me, after election day they don't call or nothing. They don't care. So, I wouldn't vote Republican if my life depended on it. I love the Lord and Jesus Christ, but if Jesus said, "Vote Republican." I would have to say, "No." Thank you. God bless.

No means no

Heading: "Twin Rivers School Bond Issue." To the voters of Twin Rivers School District: Apparently the school board doesn't know the meaning the word, "No," about the bond issue because they are going ahead with their own plan no matter what we, the voters, say. Like the two board members cleaning up the old site getting ready for a new building. Voters! Let's show them who is still in charge! Vote no in April! If the board wants to spend their money --fine! But don't push it down our throats. Vote no, no, no! Thank you.

Recycle properly

I'm calling about the recycling bins. There was an article in the Doniphan newspaper about the recycling bins that people were puttin' things that don't belong there. I'm so thankful to have these recycling bins. I wish people would take good care of them. And also I have been to the one in Poplar Bluff and Doniphan and I see articles put in there that haven't been properly washed. You should properly wash your cans and your jars and whatever you put in there to recycle before you put them in. It is awesome that they do this for us at no charge, so people wake up! Don't be so sloppy and start doing your recycling better. Take care of what we have. I think this is wonderful. Goodbye.
