Legislature back in session

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

The 96th General Assembly is back in session. The legislature began its first full week of work this past Monday and the session is already off to a busy start. There are 249 House Bills and 17 House Joint Resolutions that have already been filed by members of the House. That number is expected to increase each day during the early part of session. The Missouri House considers an average of more than 1,200 bills each session. On average, that number is whittled down to less than 100 which will actually become law. To follow all of the legislation that proceeds through the House, an excellent resource is our House website which you can visit at: www.house.mo.gov
