If Mother Earth really cares she would open up right under the coffin of Kim Jong Il and drop his worthless skin and bones into her fiery hole, then close up around his flaming arse. This dear leader of North Korea lived much, much too long. Not only was he part of the Axis of Evil on earth, but also the Axis of Sad -- deep, dark sadness. As a poet composed: We think with brief thanksgiving whatever gods may be that no life lives forever. Continue your fake cry people of North Korea. No more tears for the aberration that used you for his own evil selfishness. Did you see that, America? That. That political insanity played out right in front of your eyes -- a demigod trying his best to make an omelet right in front of your eyes. Did you see that, America? I've watched it since the day of my discharged from the Air Force July 2, 1950, Wichita Falls, Texas. America . . . ca . . . ca . . . American. Did you see that?

Council worse

than the govt.

Everybody thinks the government is bad, but the City Council of Poplar Bluff is worse than the government. They just make up their minds to raise our light, water and cable any time they want to and there's nothing we can do about it. That should be something we should be allowed to vote on. Thank you.

Where's the

fishing tackle?

On the TV is a spot showing a guy and a dog. The guy has a fishing rod and reel in his hand. The dog hasn't have any fishing gear. He's just standing there with a dog's look on his face. The guy is wearing an overshirt with the logo, "Dogs are People, Too." Where is the dog's fishing tackle? Forgot it, I'll bet. The dog forgot his fishing tackle. Thank you.

Govt. gives and

takes it away

Yeah, I'm an old man and I draw Social Security and a little bit of food stamps. But everytime they give you a cost-of-living raise years ago they'd take and whatever you got they'd cut the food stamps. I was drawing $38 a month now and I haven't had a cost-of-living raise in three years. But, as soon as they give me that little $19 or $20 cost-of-living raise I get a letter from the food stamp place telling me they cut my food stamps $13. So, really, honest and truly, they say you got a cost-of-living raise. Folks, you don't. One government gives it to you and the other one takes it away. Thank you and God bless.

Where's the

FEMA money?

I would like to know if Ozark Border Electric here in Butler County is operatin' without insurance? At the rate increase that we're just experiencing here there's something going on. FEMA paid $23 million to Ozark Border Electric through the ice storms and the storms we had in '09 and '10. Now, that being the case, what happened to the insurance money? I would sure like to know as I'm sure most other Butler County residents would like to know the same.

It would sure help our county out, if you guys would print this. What happened to the insurance money that was paid to Ozark Border Electric? Why did FEMA pay $23 million? Thank you. And, have a great snowy Tuesday morning.

Sucking the

system dry

This is about Social Security. Social Security--the word says it all--socialism. Social Security was set up to be a retirement system. You pay into the system all of your life until you are 65 years old and you retire and draw your money. Sounds good, right? What about these 35-50 year old men that went to a doctor. They are drawing a check from Social Security for life. How many 35-50 year old men do you know that are drawing a check? I know about three or four. Do you think that is fair? I'm tired of hearing about Social Security going broke. That's all you hear about. Wonder, why? I'm the only person in the United States that knows about these lazy, low-life, drug addicts that are sucking the money out of our retirement system? Think about it, taxpayers.
