Please Sheila,

back to reality

Representative Sheila Jackson Lee recently while in one of her general speeches touting this past Friday (Black Friday) for the sales of Americans rushing out to buy American-made products. Sheila, what world are you living in? America no longer produces electronics, toys, clothes -- most of its domestic auto is clones from Japan, so, Sheila, what is America making right now that we're buying on Black Friday? Please, Sheila, tell America, won't you? Just one American item that we bought enough of to bring this country back from the brink. Please, Sheila, I know you're a Democrat and you have only the greatest of hopes and aspirations for America, but please, Sheila, please get your head out of the sand and smell the coffee and the roses and come back to reality, Sheila. We gave away our marketing because of the green movement in America. Remember, manufacturing is now a nimby that environmentalists don't want in their backyard or yours either. So, as China eats our lunch, thanks to you, Sheila, and your cronies have a wonderful black Christmas.

I live one and a half hours from Poplar Bluff. I received my Oct. 16 Daily American Republic on Nov. 21. Where in the world has this paper been for over a month? That's a question for the postal department and their financial problems. Thank you.
