MoDOT on a

slippery slope

Our state, in an odd move, is wishing to turn I-70 into a toll road. My opinion, MoDOT cannot control their overzealous spending habits. Yes, many of our roads are in bad shape, but that's because they don't know how to properly tax and then spend the revenues necessary, not only for the upkeep, but future improvements. And, I also want to add this: what's to stop them if they do put tolls on I-70 from putting tolls on I-55, Hwy. 60 or any of the other four lane highways around our state? It's a slippery slope that MoDOT's headed down and it needs truly to be put to the voters and not, repeat, not left up to either MoDOT or our legislature. This needs to go as a vote of the people, but then, again what's a little bit more of a burden for those working neither in Kansas City nor St. Louis going back and forth to work every day. Then, again, you can stick it to the public because you don't know how to control your spending. Right, MoDOT?

Post Office

turns blind eye

I'm calling about the mail service. Post office. I know with any jobs there are problems. Carriers are going to make mistakes. That's understandable. None of us are perfect. But to be suddenly making mistakes for a few years--same carrier--it's getting overhead. I find out it's because they are in a union and they can't fire them so they put up with all this stuff from mail carriers. I mean overboard stuff. I would gladly publish it, but that's just private laundry. They know what their carriers are doing. They just turn a blind eye. That would be why they are having so much trouble with the post office. It's because they have all these workers who are not doing their job and they're in the union and they can't do anything about it. Maybe, you know, if they did some housekeeping the post office won't be going broke in default and all these issues that are going on. Starting with our local head master.

Teach God

not fantasy

Public schools, why are you teaching your students on gods of Fantasy, but not teach them the True God Jesus Christ. Please teach them the word of God.

Catch speeders

on Main St.

I wish when they put these speed limit mobile units like on Main St., they would also have a camera set up on it so that they could take pictures of those who speed down Main St. and those who are also running the stop sign. Make this town some money it would. It is a tax hike we wouldn't even have to vote on. Just invest in some of those portable radar things and then they would just take a picture and they would catch a bunch of them. If you people want to complain about the brick roads drive the posted speed limit. Don't drive 60 miles an hour in a 35 mile zone. And, guess what? When schools in session, it's 15 miles in front of those schools. It's not a 150 miles an hour. Drivin' like maniacs in this town and then they wonder why their vehicles are all tore up. You bring it on yourselves, people.

Hoggin' library

parking lot

Yeah, here we go! Fixing up brick streets again. If they didn't spend so much money on brick streets, maybe they could fix the parking lot down there so they wouldn't be hoggin' up the library parking lot. Thank you.
