Unhappy cable customer

I wondering if anyone has noticed on the city station on cable TV that the city is gone to digital TV by the end of the year and anyone who has analog TVs, not digital, will have to buy boxes from the city to get the channels--$35 each for each TV you have in your house. Everybody needs to call the cable company and talk to them about this because it's gonna be a switch if there's not a public outcry made about this. They haven't informed the public anyway by newspaper just on their city cable station on the TV. People need to check into this and make an outcry because this is really gonna put a lot of folks hurtin' if they have to pay this extra $35 for every TV they own or go out an buy a new digital TV. Thank you.

Where's the number?

Please print this. I agree with the person that complained about our phone book. You can't find nothin'. They are screwed up and, yes, it's a good thing I kept my old one. Thank you.

Crazy prices

Talk about the craziness of fuel prices in our community. Now, mind you, this is Friday, but today I saw fuel prices at a truck stop out on M Hwy. and the 67 Junction at $3.39 a gallon. That's right! And, yet, I saw fuel prices all the way in town at $3.09 a gallon. What's going on, Poplar Bluff? Have we all gone crazy? What's going on here in our community? Has the green button just lost its context? What's going on here in our town? Or has the fuel distributors just lost contact with one another? Can they not talk between one another and get their fuel prices the same all across the board anymore? Or are they getting rattled because as the community is getting fed up with their pricing? Maybe it's that. Do you think? Maybe it's just the fact that there are some that are willing to speak out about the outright greed with pricing on fuel in our community. But seeing that aberration pop up at one dealership and then this wild 30 cents a gallon at others in our town speaks volumes for the fuel pricing in our community, doesn't it? Something to think on, Poplar Bluff. Truly something to think on, isn't it? Need to get your heads together, fuel distributors. Either jack your fuel prices up all at the same time or drop them all at the same time. You think? The people of Poplar Bluff are watchin' ya! We see oil prices dropping like a rock and you're not doing the same, are you?
