Be proud of

your daughter

Hi, Speak Out. I was lookin' at today's paper and saw where the little second grader, Riley Whitlow, donated her 12 inch braid of hair to "Locks of Love." And, I just want to tell her parents what a wonderful thing that they are teachin' their daughter. She looks totally cute with her haircut.

Keep financial

aid in the US

A news item for Oct. 21 says that an American company in Finland asked the United States Government for a loan. This is not just a loophole, but a plain hole in the ground. Any American company that moves to another part of the world because it can't make enough money here should be considered on its own. We have Doctors Without Borders to whom I wrote the other day to tell them my donations are going to help wounded military people. Do we have such a thing as Businesses Without Borders? Manufacturers who move to other countries because people there need a job or do they move to help Americans who need a job? The company is missionary minded, aren't they? They love the world, don't they? They are compassionate, aren't they? They love mankind better than their country. The world table, says a chip 'n' dip company or are they as Tennyson says, "As ruthless as a baby with a worm." Thank you.

Why no times

for the movies?

I'd like to know why the DAR no longer prints movie times? Don't they realize that not everybody has fancy phones they can get to the Internet with?

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Movie times are the responsibility of the theater since they are paying for the advertisement of their shows.)

Protect US not

other countries

I approve of President Obama bringing all these troops home from Iraq. I think it's a good thing. Bring 'em all home before Christmas. I think that's really a wonderful thing for all these military families. Another thing, I think they should get to work on building bases up and down our borders protecting the United States for a change instead of protecting these ungrateful countries that want to do our service people harm.

Filled with the

Holy Ghost

If you would like to get the Holy Ghost, it's a wonderful feelin' to have. You just start praising and worshipping God and when you get to the place where the Lord wants you, He'll fill you with the Holy Ghost and it is a wonderful feelin'.
