RIDGEWAY, ILL. -- Steve Wright, age 44, of Ridgway, but formerly of Carmi, Ill., died suddenly on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 in Ferrell Hospital.
Mr. Wright was born in Carmi, on Sept. 15, 1967. He graduated from Carmi High School and worked in the oil fields for Robinson Engineering. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and could host amazing cookouts.
Survivors are two children, Josh Wright and Melissa "Missy" Robinson, both of Carmi; his mother, Shirley Hutchinson of Carmi and his father, Carl Wright and stepmother, Linda, of Norris City, IlI.; three grandsons; three sisters, Karen Cathey of Cottonwood, Ill., Sharon Goodman of Vincennes, Ind. and Linda Wright of Evansville, Ind.; many nieces and nephews; and a grandmother, Eula Mae Minehart.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway with Rev. David Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshal Ferry Cemetery near Dogtown.
