Gay picture

is disgusting

I'm calling about the picture of the two homosexual men kissing in your Tuesday, Sept. 20, edition. How disgusting! Couldn't you have left the picture out? It's a sad day for many American people who know that homosexuality is wrong. Think about it. People, if you ever went with homosexuals there wouldn't be anyone. Two homosexuals cannot produce and never will. People wonder why there's so much devastation just as tornadoes, drought, floods and so on. America. God is not pleased with us. We need to be prayin' and thankin' him everyday for what He has given us.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Don't blame us. Blame the politicians. They're the ones legalizing gay marriage, allowing gays to serve openly in the military etc. What you saw is happening more and more all over our country. If you don't like it, don't waste your time calling us. Call your politicians (like Sen. Claire McCaskill who voted for gays in the military). Politicians are the ones who control it. All we're doing is reporting what they are allowing to happen...openly.)

God bless

Dr. Brookreson

I usually call in with a little gripe, but this time I read in the paper where Dr. A. D. Brookreson died. I tell you Poplar Bluff lost fine, fine man. Not just a good physician, but a fine man. I went to him ever since he was at Hendrickson Clinic where he saved my life one time. I was about to die. I was paralyzed from the waist down when I fell in my driveway and in a week and a half he had me up and walkin'. He took care of me for years until he retired, then I went to Dr. Li. But I'll tell you what Dr. A. D., his personality, his bedside manner. I was operated on and he took care of me. He was just a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful person and he'll be sadly missed by this old man. And, I'll tell you, I bet a lot people in Poplar Bluff feel the same way because he always had smile for you and when you come in he'd tell you I don't care if you've got the money or not, son, because sometimes the secretary didn't want to let you in if you didn't have all the money. But, he'd tell ya, you just holler for Dr. A. D. If she says no, you just holler and come on in. I'll see you, and that's the way Dr. A. D. was. 'Cause he didn't care about the money. He just cared about people. You know, curin' 'em and making 'em well. And, this one, ex-patient that will truly miss him. I love him and God bless you, Dr. Brookreson 'cause I know you're in Heaven. Thank you very much. God bless his family.
