Child Concern Center thanks the public

To the Editor,

Child Concern Center wants to give a big public "thank you" to the Christian youth gathering, WEIRD, for the help they gave us on Saturday, Oct. 1. Sixteen young people from this group and a few adult leaders certainly proved themselves different (weird) as they descended on our thrift store at 818 Hwy. 53 that day with boundless energy and cheerfulness to clean, sort and remodel part of our store.

Not only did God send us effective workers but also an adult leader with retail sales experience. We are so appreciative of the effective work that was done to help us in our continuing improvement efforts. This is one example that should give the community encouragement that there are many young people with their hearts and minds in the right place.

Thank you, people from WEIRD, for showing how "different" you can be.
