O'Neal School traffic crazy

I just want to say I agree with whoever has been calling about the O'Neal school. I live there in that neighborhood and it is pitiful. You have to be out of your house by one o'clock in the afternoon if you want to go somewhere and you can't get back to your house until around 4:30 p.m. It's just crazy. I want to know why I'm paying out money for school buses and they don't use 'em over there. It's the silliest thing you ever seen and it don't never change. Thank you.

Remember 9/11

I know many people remember where they were on 9/11. What I saw on TV didn't seem real. When I knew it was, I panicked. My daughter works for the commerce department in D. C. Her office is a short distance away from the White House and the Capitol which were targets. I couldn't reach her for many hours. Later, I did. She told me that she and other employees were told to get out. She ran with a mass amount of people down the highway down the street--no Metro was running. They just ran for miles. When she finally got to her apartment, she was crying and shocked.

I was really sad and I had very much pain and sorrow that such an event happened in the United States. Never ever forget all the great Americans who lost their lives.

In God we trust. Amen.

Craft store

needed

With all the new stores being built and all the empty stores in the mall, why can't Poplar Bluff get a Hobby Lobby in this town? There are many, many people interested in crafts, but yet when you need something you have to go to Cape to get it. With a town this size you can't even find a store with a good supply of fabrics here. The ones we have are a small quilt shop and not everybody quilts. Please, get a Hobby Lobby in this town. We don't need another food place. We've needed a Hobby Lobby here for years in this town. Thank you.

Seek help

Yes. Some men and some women are selfish. We're always talking about the kids, but just look around you at some of the men how they act or the women.

We have friends, a young couple, who don't have children, and she wants to buy a home. He doesn't want a house. He said he isn't paying school taxes because he doesn't have any children going to school so why should he pay for someone else's? He isn't thinking of his wife who wants a home to call theirs. He also won't go places anymore because he's ashamed of her. I hope he reads this and will see how selfish he is being. Maybe he needs to seek help. Thank you.

Is fluoride

needed in

water?

Mr. Bagby--Don't you think it's time for us to quit putting Fluoride in our drinking water? Check it out . . . please.

Agenda-driven president

Is anyone paying attention to the numbers of our president's wonderful jobs plan? Yes, the plan is going to provide nearly two million jobs. We have nearly 14 million unemployed. What a drop in the bucket, Mr. President. And yet, I only see Stimulus Two here. That's right. He's pandering to the unions, teachers, first responders, you know, the police, fire department and yes, they're union and yet he is still pushing his agenda. You know, Obamacare. That is the one thing that is putting the most uncertainly into the market right now. If he would just say I'm going to cancel Obamacare, you would see such a resurgence in the market. But, he won't. He is an agenda-driven president that has blinders on and that is what stopping this man. His arrogance. Until the time that he sees what that is doing to America, it will truly be too late for way too many. But, come November next, we will have eliminated the problem. Let's hope that whoever, and I say, whoever we put in his place will do a better job for America. I don't think they will. The hole that has been dug is far too deep. The wounds are going to be far too hard to heal. Let's pray that the damage that has been done can be turned around. Truthfully, I don't think so.

Thank you for stopping to help

To the gentleman who stopped on T Hwy. this morning after he hit my dog. I want to thank you for your kindness and stopping to help me get her in the car and to the vet. Sadly, she did not make it. She passed away before I got her to the vet, but you were a kind and generous soul for stopping to help me help her. I don't know who you are and I don't know any other way to thank you. And so, I hope you read this Speak Out and see this. I just want to say thank you for helping and not just driving by.

Get facts right

I'm calling in response to the Speak Out article on Monday--in Monday's paper about the illegal drugs and stuff. The lady needs to get her facts right. She knew nobody had died. If she's reading or listening to the news or read the paper, she'd find that a boy that was on it disappeared--a young man between Zalma and Arab [Missouri] in late August. They found him six days later dead on a river bank. He'd been on bath salts. And she blaming it on our governor. This law is passed by the legislator and signed into law by the governor. So, if you want to blame anybody about the law blame the entire legislative branch of the State of Missouri. This is so full of lies that I can't believe the Daily American Republic would even print such garbage and to let our kids think that this stuff is okay. I hope you print this. Thank you.
