Thanks for helping Wounded Warriors
To the Editor,
Thanks are owed to many, many people who made the Cape Arrowhead fishing/camping weekend for Wounded Warriors and their families a success Sept. 9-11 at Camp SEMO on Lake Wappapello.
Sponsors included: VFW Post 3416, VFW Post 6477, American Legion Post 153, Robert Wake Foundation.
We are indebted for generous donations of time, expertise, equipment and food from: Jeff Fansler and the bass tournament fishermen of Wappapello, Marilyn Martin, Bill's Market at Puxico, Bobby Smith (rib meister) and the dessert bakers of Wappapello Volunteer Fire Department, Missouri Department of Conservation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Millie Rogers of Wappapello, VFW Auxiliary of Wappapello, Hap Smith, Rendee and Jerry Shropshire and Heart, who played bluegrass for us.
Also, the wonderful people with Veterans Affairs at Pershing Medical Center, without whom this would have been impossible. And last but not least, the many folks who turned out to eat and enjoy fellowship with us.
Your support is truly appreciated.
