You know we caught a young man coming down CR 312 a while back with a sack load of baby kittens at 35 mph, he throwed 'em out his window. We stopped him and made him pick 'em up and take 'em back home with him. He said, "I don't want 'em." We said, "We don't either." We've got numerous people throwing 'em out down here. Now, then, they throwed five little puppies out down here and all they did, who throwed 'em out down here--man or woman--you murdered 'em. Why didn't you just go ahead and kill 'em right there yourself? Because we had to kill 'em. We can't have 'em down here. Stray dogs running every where. Stray cats. So all you did was murder 'em. You are a murderer! You live in the city limits? Take 'em to the pound. Be humane about it. Take 'em to the pound. We were humane when we had to put 'em to sleep. You be humane and take 'em to the pound. Stop dumpin' down here in the country where they will starve to death, get run over or otherwise. Thank you very much.

of Ellsinore

I'm sure you won't print my letter, but I want to tell you this is for the City of Ellsinore. I cannot believe that this city has let two sisters take it over. One sister was on the board and voted for another sister to be put on the board that was settin' out in the audience at the time. There is nothing legal about what's going on in the City of Ellsinore. Somebody needs to do something about it.

What's job of

commissioners

I'd like to know from some commissioners of other counties what the job title is? The Commissioners of Carter Co. in my area will not dig out the ditch so the water can run freely and not flood our house. Is it the commissioners' job to keep ditches cleaned out? I would like for some of the commissioners of other counties respond to this article to let me know if it is the job of the commissioner to keep the ditches cleaned out, the weeds cleaned out or what the job is. Thank you.

Enjoy Epps and Speak Out

Concerning the article in Sunday's paper about "Beef Up Speak Out." I enjoy Speak Out, but I also enjoy Irma Epps' articles or the letters that she writes to the paper. I do not agree with the comments from the other person that you should eliminate her letters as I'm sure many other people in Poplar Bluff enjoy her articles as I do. Thank you.

The House Majority Leader says disaster aid to hurricane victims will be offset by spending cuts. That's reality TV for you these days. You know, the only way to get badly needed cuts to America's broken budget is caused by an act of God. God bless America. Get your thinking caps on, America.
