I might not recall each gift I've received over the past 50 Christmases or every school play and church service attended, but I've never forgotten the Christmas trees. In decades past, Daddy would "hunt" for the perfect tree in our fence row off the back twenty. He would generally take his rifle with him and nab a little mistletoe from the tree tops to bring home for decoration. I'm certain if my mother were still with us she would say he had ulterior motives for hanging that mistletoe!...
