28th Annual Old Greenville Days

The town of Old Greenville is being celebrated Sept. 21 and 22 with food, fun and family-friendle activities at the Old Greenville Recreation Area.
Events are being held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Activities are organized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Members of Iron Mountain Station perform Saturday. They will play again from 1-1:50 p.m. Sunday.

An ice cream booth at Saturday's activities uses a 1932 John Deere, 3 Hp engine to power equipment which can churn 10 gallons of ice cream at a time. The system also uses a factory pulley system that is more than 100 years old.
