2018 Badge of Honor Benefit Run proceeds recipients

Friday, February 8, 2019

The Badge of Honor Benefit Run is an event to honor the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protect and serve the citizens of their communities. Proceeds of the monies raised from this event will be distributed among four distinguished law enforcement support groups, dedicated to assisting police officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical personnel. The MASTERS is a non-profit organization designed to assist the families of Missouri State Troopers who have given their lives in the line of duty. Similar to The MASTERS, The BackStoppers provides needed support and financial assistance to the spouses and children of all local and county police officers, firefighters, publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs and volunteer fire protection units, who have lost their lives performing their duty. The Missouri Fraternal Order of Police is dedicated to improving the working conditions of police officers so they are able to provide quality law enforcement services to the communities they have sworn to protect. The proceeds from this event will also be used to help the Local Missouri Fraternal Order of Police fund community programs like the Annual Shop with a Hero Program, where law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical personnel shop with children to purchase Christmas gifts during the holiday season. Starting in 2019, part of the proceeds will also assist Supporting Heroes. Supporting Heroes mission statement: “Our mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of public safety heroes who give their lives in the line of duty – by caring for the loved ones they leave behind.”
